Dog Training Services in Cody

Puppy Training – for puppies 10 weeks to 5 months old. Start with a puppy class or choose one of our more thorough puppy training packages to ensure the right upbringing and avoid behavioral issues later. Build a strong foundation with early socialization, basic obedience, and confidence-building exercises.

Dog Training for dogs 6 months and older. We will start with an Initial Training Consultation to learn about your dog’s training status and/or behavioral analysis by a certified dog trainer. This session will be credited to any of our private training packages (counts as one session) If your pup already has some training basics, you may be able to join a group class.

Service Dog Training to support people with disabilities to task train their own service dogs.

Virtual Dog Training for those who need dog training help but do not live in the Cody area.

What dog training methods do we use?

We use positive reinforcement – treats, toys and praise – to teach your dog what you do want, instead of punishing what you don’t. It’s fun, kind, and gets great results. Plus it builds trust and training is fun for both – you and your dog!

Our services range from puppy and beginner dog training to behavior modification and solving “problem” dog behaviors. This can include jumping, lunging on leash, digging, chewing, barking, puppy biting and more.

FAQs:

Can you train my dog for me?

Sort of! We offer Day School, and, if you live far away and can’t choose this option, Board and Train in cooperation with our local boarding facility Cody Bed & Biscuit, could be a good option. We board your dog there and pick her up six times per week. It’s a great way to fast-track progress – but the real magic happens when we teach you how to keep it going, so you and your dog become a great team. How long will it take to train my dog?

There are questions that come with this:

What are your expectations?

What skills do you really need and what would be a bonus?

Are you willing and able to invest time on a daily basis in the progress of your dog’s training journey?

These are all questions that we will ask and that you will have to answer to yourself as well. We do not guarantee a certain outcome at a certain point in time because every owner and every dog is different.

We will, however, guarantee you that we will use all the knowledge and professional training skills that we have to make this journey as fun and efficient as possible and will always be there for questions or moral support during this time and after the conclusion of your training package.

How much does your training cost?

That depends on what you and your dog bring to the table. How old is your dog? Are you looking for basic obedience skills or do we need to work on severe behavioral challenges? The more complicated the situation, the longer it can take, the more it may cost. We offer a free phone consultation to evaluate the approximate situation and we will work with you on payment plans and potential financial help.
